Friends of the Hammock Annual Meeting

Come to the annual meeting of The Friends of the Hammock and learn how you can make Hammock Park great!

Hammock volunteer activities are open to individuals, service organizations, scout troops, schools group and social clubs. Lanie Sheets, Parks and Recreation Supervisor and Craig Wilson, City Arborist, will present the results of the Hammock Long Range Management plan to date, the success of the exotic removal project and the upcoming adoption programs.

A variety of volunteer opportunities will be presented including exotic plant management, area adoption, photography, and water monitoring. Both one-day and ongoing programs are available. There is something for everyone depending on your interests.

The Park staff and Friends of the Hammock will be conducting training sessions starting with the new adoption program on February 6, 2016.
